Mopani is the newest of all the Kruger main rest camps and represents a departure from the traditional camp design. Nestled amongst striking mopane woodland, the buildings are constructed from natural materials that blend perfectly into the rocky environment. The camp’s massive viewing deck looks out over the Pioneer Dam, which is a magnet for massive herds of elephant and buffalo, as well as astonishing birdlife.
The roads immediately surrounding Mopani are renowned for excellent game viewing. If staying here, prioritize these routes on your morning drives:
