Offers arguably the best panoramic views in the park, perched high on a hill overlooking the Olifants River.
Olifants is built on a high rocky ridge that provides spectacular, uninterrupted panoramic views of the Olifants River far below. Binoculars are essential here, as you can spend hours on the camp’s massive viewing deck watching elephants, hippos, and crocodiles in and around the river. Note: The camp does not have a swimming pool due to water restrictions and its location on the hill.
The roads immediately surrounding Olifants are renowned for excellent game viewing. If staying here, prioritize these routes on your morning drives:
Excellent places to park and wait for the wildlife to come to you.
Inquire at camp reception for schedules and booking. (Self-drives are always available during gate times).
Camp gates follow standard park times.
