"Exclusive Crocodile River frontage with direct bridge access into Kruger."
Located within the private Mjejane Game Reserve which shares a fence-free boundary with Kruger National Park, this lodge sits directly on the banks of the Crocodile River. It offers excellent river-based game viewing and its own private bridge into the national park.
Mjejane River Lodge is uniquely positioned. It resides within the 4,000-hectare Mjejane Game Reserve, which is fully incorporated into the Greater Kruger National Park ecosystem (there are no fences between Mjejane and Kruger). This allows wildlife, including the Big 5, to roam freely.
The lodge's greatest asset is its panoramic views over the Crocodile River. The main areas and many of the rooms face the water, allowing guests to watch herds of elephants drinking, hippos wallowing, and crocodiles basking right from the deck or the swimming pool.
Mjejane offers standard and luxury rooms that are comfortable, modern, and well-equipped. It's a slightly larger lodge, giving it a lively but relaxed atmosphere.
A significant unique feature of Mjejane is its private low-level bridge providing direct, exclusive access for lodge vehicles straight into the Kruger National Park, allowing for varied game drive experiences (both on the private reserve and within the public park boundaries).
A mix of buffet and plated meals featuring South African and international cuisine, often served outdoors overlooking the river or in the traditional boma beneath the stars.
Mjejane Game Reserve operates as a protected area within the Greater Kruger ecosystem, contributing to habitat preservation and anti-poaching initiatives along the southern boundary.
